This quick and easy free crochet pattern takes less than one skein of 100% cotton yarn is the perfect project to spend a Saturday on to make something beautiful and functional for you kitchen.
It also makes a great gift, accompanying handmade soaps or scrubs, or make a few and gift a whole set as a gift!
One of the homesteading principles that I first subscribed to years ago was “wasting less.” I wrote up this pattern for a quick reusable sponge/dishcloth. It should be stitched up using 100% cotton yarn (Lily Sugar ‘n Cream is one of the most readily available and has a lot of fun colors). The little bubbles give it a bit of scrubbing power and because it is 100% cotton you can toss it in the wash anytime it gets a bit too funky.
This one is made with a Lily Sugar’n Cream Scents yarn, in Fleur de Lavender, which I did not realize until I was already home and hooking up my project. I will probably give it a couple of washes before use as the scent is fairly strong.
